"Candis Terry is an absolute delight! I laughed, sighed, and fell in love. You'll want to visit Sweet, TX again and again—I know I do." —Jill Shalvis, New York Times-bestselling author

He's stubborn and thoroughly male . . .

If Charlotte Brooks thinks she and her TV makeover show can turn Reno Wilder's hometown upside-down, he'll be happy to prove her wrong. The ex-Marine has seen too much turmoil and he likes Sweet, Texas, just the way it is. Traditional. Familiar. A little dull. Everything Charli isn't. But instead of backing off from his scowls like everyone else, Charli digs in her skyscraper heels.

She's tenacious and wickedly tempting . . .

Reno Wilder is a one-man unwelcoming committee, but Charli isn't budging. It's clear the gorgeous cowboy needs an overhaul just as much as Sweet. Someone needs to break him out of that gruff shell and show him how fun and rewarding a little change can be.

They're about to find that love is anything but predictable.

"A fun and refreshing voice in contemporary romance." —Rachel Gibson, New York Times-bestselling author

"A truly wonderful love story for those who enjoy small-town life." —Idaho Statesman

"Candis Terry has moved to the top of my list of go-to authors for a small-town-America romance . . . a definite must read for fans of contemporary romance. If you love Robyn Carr, you will love Candis Terry." —Fresh Fiction

Designer Charli Brooks travels to small towns for the makeover show My New Town. A Marine brat, she has lived all over the world, and she yearns for a permanent home. Former Marine Reno Wilder, owner of the hardware store in Sweet, Tex., refuses to be drawn into the excitement over the spiffing up of Sweet’s historic Main Street buildings. He doesn’t want change; he’s endured too much already and struggles with grief after the deaths of his oldest brother, his dad, and his fiancée. With no hotel in the tiny town, TV crew members are put up in private homes, and Reno’s mom volunteers an apartment above Reno’s barn for Charli. Cap the close living arrangements with a bet about making over his store, and the two square off with humorous dialogue in clever situations while denying their budding attraction. Terry (the Sugar Shack series) adds interest by describing the show’s progress and the camaraderie of Reno’s surviving brothers. Agent: Jennifer Schober, Spencerhill Associates.
