Ashley’s sixth full-length Shifters Unbound installment (after Tiger Magic) brims with her impetuous shifters, callous Fae, layered plotlines, intense action, and hot sex scenes. Lupine Shifter Graham McNeil and human Misty Granger can’t possibly be mates, but the harder they deny it, the stronger the pull becomes. When they run afoul of a calculating Fae, they are ensorcelled, which threatens Graham’s leadership of the local pack. Knowing he can never show weakness to his fractious, instinct-driven pack members, he searches for a way to lift the spell while also juggling the irresistible Misty, his insecure yet staunchly loyal nephew, and an adorable pair of wolf shifter cubs. Misty proves herself quite up to the challenge of taking on the rough-edged alpha and discovering an unusual way to fight against nefarious Fae intentions. Despite the many characters and subplots, this is easily read as a standalone, though taking in the entire series will only add to the pleasure.
